Transport adapté pour nous Inc. is a non-profit organization which runs a public transport service reserved for people with disabilities or with reduced mobility.
OUR MISSION :
- Allow greater autonomy for the person living with one or more limitations
- Promote professional, school and social integration
CLIENTELE
Is eligible to this service, any disabled person who, according to the Law, meets the eligibility criteria defined in the Paratransit Eligibility Policy of the Quebec Ministère des Transports www.mtq.qc.ca.
These people must be permanent residents of the territory served by Transport adapté pour nous Inc.
People interested in using the paratransit service must make a request by filling out an application form.

LOCAL ZONE :
Transport adapté pour nous Inc. serves the eight (8) following municipalities:
- Municipalité de Saint-Étienne-de-Bolton
- Municipalité de Saint-Joachim-de-Shefford
- Municipalité de Shefford
- Municipalité du Village de Brome
- Municipalité du Village de Stukely-Sud
- Municipalité du Village de Warden
- Ville de Lac Brome
- Ville de Waterloo
Any trip within this territory will be considered as LOCAL.
OUTSIDE ZONE :
To meet the needs of our users, it is possible to travel toward few municipalities outside our territory: Cowansville, Granby, Sutton (for the resident of Town of Lac Brome),Bromont ( for medical appointment or for work), Magog (for medical reason only) and Sherbrooke (for medical reason only)
Any trip towards these four (4) destinations will be considered as trips OUTSIDE the zone (see rates).
HISTORY
In August 1986, following the request of a young disabled person, the Municipality of Shefford and the Town of Waterloo approached the Centre d’action bénévole de Waterloo to organize a paratransit service.
Further to this request, the Centre d’action bénévole de Waterloo formed a committee comprised of parents of disabled children and of other people interested by this paratransit project.
Within the framework of a federal employment program, two people were hired to develop the file review.
A demand of incorporation was presented on May 11th, 1987; on February 13th, 1989 a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministère des Transports and the participating municipalities; and on May 29th, 1989 the service Transport adapté pour nous Inc. was in operation.
